People who go missing often leave behind loved ones who are desperate for news of their whereabouts.
Anyone can go missing for a number of reasons. They can be any age and come from all sorts of backgrounds. But when they go missing they may leave friends and relatives who need to know they are alive and well.
When people are reported missing to the police we have a responsibility to do what we can to find them and make sure they are safe.
To do this we will issue an appeal for information or for the location of the missing person. In most cases we will try to display a photograph and a description of the person and ask for anyone who has information to get in touch.
If you can help us trace any missing person please contact us.
