Thefts — Dumfries

Police are investigating the theft of a number of ‘fall arrest bags’ from Persimmons Building Site at Summerfield, Lockerbie Road in Dumfries sometime around 2130 hours on Monday 7 February 2012. The bags, blue in colour, are used for health and safety to provide a soft landing to anyone falling from a height on the site. Two or three males, not further described, were seen alighting from a blue coloured 4 x 4 vehicle around the time of the theft and climbing over a security fence at the site.

Sometime overnight Monday 7/Tuesday 8 February 2012 a quantity of scrap metal, including radiators and baths has been stolen from a skip at the Newton Road Industrial Site in Lochside, Dumfries. The value of the scrap is about £40.

Theft — Lochmaben

Overnight Monday 7/Tuesday 8 February 2012 a wood and cast iron garden bench has been stolen from the playground of Lochmaben Primary School in the town. The bench is heavy and would have taken a number of people to remove.

Vandalism — Stranraer

A window at a house in Hillview, Stranraer was smashed sometime overnight Monday 7/Tuesday 8 February 2012.
